Wearing No. 5 Chanel

Can men get away by wearing Chanel No. 5 ? Definitely and I don't see why not. As one article in Perfume Posse mentions, "men could quite easily indulge in its dry, chilled florals. While a random person on the street might be surprised to discover a man wearing No. 5, an adventurous perfumista would understand. "

I am enchanted by the scent of this 87 years old brew and this was largely due to early exposure of it during childhood. Nothing have yet to top it at its category. The wife don't really have a big preference for it but I am a big fan. Its top notes include ylang ylang, neroli and aldehydes; its mid notes rose and jasmine; and its base notes sandalwood, vetiver and vanilla. This composition truly is amazing.

As one reviewer put its as "Chanel No.5's scent is a classic, discrete yet powerful and elegant. It smells a little bit dusty - the smell of the good quality make-up powder - but it is relaxing and soothing." Ms Coco wanted a perfume that "reflects my personality, something abstract and unique"  To me, it's not overly feminine and the scent brings back pleasant memories.  Warning: this perfume is a real man-magnet for ladies!

Picture above is the 50ml Eau De Parfum version and is available at many departmental store. I got mine from Takashimaya at S$137/-
