As far as I am aware, there are currently 7 version of this truly wonderful and legendary 華麗的冒險 album circulating in the marketplace. I have listed all the visible differences below for references. There is no Japan released version, though.
Cheer Chen or her associates or anyone that can reach Cheer Chen, please let her know this : can you please release a 10 year Anniversary Issue on 2015 ? It would be wonderful if you can include alternate takes, special trackings or even bonus songs and unreleased materials (!) Or, how about a HDCD release ?
Personally, this is album of the decade. It is definitely my desert island disc.
According to audiophile, maggielurva 愛美姬,
......" try playing track #7 "self" in full blast. the full glory of cheer's angelic voice coupled with the intensity of the melodious soup of noise come unabated. i get multiple aural orgasms every time i listen to this track.
trust me, if you only listen to western music and think lowly of Chinese pop music, this album could very well change your perceptions.
and the recording, my oh my, is simply marvelous. "
Enuff said ! My personal advise sonic quality is go for the Taiwan Pressing.

華麗的冒險 - China (Digipack) Simplified Chinese font
For those who get this version, it has quite a very deviation from the Taiwan version. Back cover songs index from Song 7 to 11 are not shown as inverted reflection. There are typo in crediting the Mastering Engineer as Bernie Grundman, instead of Doug Sax. It can be a collector item because of these (!) Also, it has this distinctive quality check sticker that is common for China released CDs.
Album booklet contains 3 special slides that can be used for projection (if you have a projector, off course). However, the printing layout is slightly different from Taiwan version, again.
